Dr. Vachararutai Boontinand, the director of the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University (IHRP) and the Convener of the ASEAN University Network-Human Rights Education (AUN-HRE) was invited by the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), Faculty of Law, University of Oslo as a visiting scholar during 30 October to 10 November 2023. She presented the research project on “Enhancing Human Rights Education in ASEAN: An Initial Review of Practices and Challenges in Higher Education” and discussed long-term collaboration between NCHR and IHRP, as the secretariat of the AUN-HRE. Academic collaborations including student exchanges between IHRP and the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo and IHRP were also explored.
