“I believe in human rights and self-determination for all of us. As being from a country with the world’s longest civil war and under military dictatorship, human rights is not a strange topic for Myanmar people. It has already been integrated into our daily lives. However, when I was accepted to study Master of Human rights at Mahidol University, the next chapter of my understanding of human rights began. This programme allows me to approach human rights academically and view my on-ground experience through an analytical lens. Moreover, this programme enlightens me about global human rights affairs.
Joining an international programme of Mahidol University is a pleasure for me. I am pleased to participate in a very dynamic academic environment and high-quality education system of Mahidol. Moreover, as being a pregnant mom, Arjans, staff and classmates of the MAHR always support me to continue my education handily” said MAY THET KYAW from MYANMAR, MAHR batch 2021.
