On August 20, 2024, UN Women invited Asst.Prof. Dr. Duanghathai Buranajaroenkij to speak at a Capacity Building Workshop on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) for local authorities in Ubon Ratchathani province. The event was organized by UN Women in collaboration with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) and the Government of the Republic of Korea. The workshop aimed to: a) provide local authorities with an overview of the WPS agenda; and b) discuss WPS issues, identify priorities, and define the roles of relevant organizations in localizing the agenda.
