On March 6, 2024, Mr. Ghazali Awae, a staff member of IHRP, had a meeting with Mr. Jaturon Chaisaeng, Chairman of the Extraordinary Commission of Studies and Recommendations for promoting the peacebuilding process in the Deep South of Thailand under the House of Representatives. The purpose of the meeting was to present the summary documents from the project “History Dialogue of Southern Thailand,” which has evolved into “A Draft policy proposal to support the southern border peace dialogue process.” Mr. Awae also presented the results of the seminar to the Sub-Committee on Supplementing the Peace Negotiation and Political Solutions in the Southern Border at the Parliament Building.
