IHRP Staff Unite to Drive Strategic Direction for Institutional Development

The Institute for Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP) convened a two-day strategic retreat at Asita Eco Resort in Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram, aimed at advancing the strategic development plan for the Institute during the fiscal year 2025. The seminar was part of the “Strategic Advancement Project for the Establishment of IHRP,” focusing on refining the Institute’s roadmap for 2025–2027.

The retreat brought together IHRP staff to collectively review key strengths and areas for growth, laying the foundation for an inclusive and forward-looking strategic plan. Through in-depth discussions, participants explored how to align departmental contributions to reinforce the Institute’s mission and ensure long-term impact.

The seminar was opened by Assistant Professor Dr. Padtheera Narkurairattana, Acting Director of Administration, who shared reflections on the institutional culture and work processes, and emphasized the importance of adaptability and shared vision in achieving the Institute’s goals.

As part of the retreat, IHRP personnel presented proposed strategic initiatives for internal feedback and potential support. These sessions served as platforms for constructive dialogue, idea-sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Associate Professor Dr. Sittiwat Lertsiri, Vice President of Mahidol University and Acting Director of IHRP. Dr. Sittiwat commended the team’s commitment and provided guidance on future directions, reinforcing the Institute’s dedication to sustainable development, inclusive governance, and academic leadership in human rights and peace studies.
