June 12, 2023, Representative from the Danish Institute for Human Rights and the Pyin-Nya-Man-Daing Project, have met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, to consult on the implementation of the new collaboration project, the “Enhancing Access to Education on Human Rights, Democracy and Peace in Myanmar – Pyin-Nya-man-daing Programme (PNMD)”. The Delegations were also accompanied by Dr. Vachararutai Boontinand (Director, the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP)), Dr. Bencharat Sae Chua (Deputy Director for Education, IHRP), Paul Dalton (Chief Adviser, Danish Institute for Human Rights), Tara Sydow Nordquist (Project Manager, Danish Institute for Human Rights) and Louise Simonsen Aaen (Senior Programme Manager, Pyin-Nya-Man-Daing Secretariat). The PNMD is a new initiative to provide capacity building to academics and students in Myanmar through human rights education training, research mentorship and scholarship for Myanmar students to study in Mahidol University.
