On 25th June 2024, a team of professors from the University of the Cordilleras (UC) visited the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, along with the School of Criminology, Faculty of Social Science, Mahidol University. Dr. Vachararutai Boontinand, the Director of the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, joined a meeting with the group of professors consisting of Dr. Ariel Nimo B. Pumecha, Vice President for Academics and Research, Dr. Robino D. Cawi, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education, and Dr. Darlyn D. Tagarino, Consultant and Faculty Member. The purpose of the meeting was to explore potential collaboration on human rights and criminology between the faculties. The meeting highlighted the importance of creating change-makers in the police profession to enhance human rights and reduce concerns regarding similar violations and violence shared among ASEAN countries at room no. 119, Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University.
