On May 2nd, 2024, Dr. Suphatmet Yunyasit, Program Director M.A. in Human Rights and Democratisation (International Program) and Secretary-General, Religions for Peace Thailand, was invited to be the speaker on the topic ‘Religious Contributions (and Impediments) to Human Rights and Peace’ organized by The United States Institute of Peace (Ghandi-King Global Academy), Religions for Peace International, UN Office of High Commissioner of Human Rights (OHCHR) and University for Peace. This online lecture was a part of the Instructor-Led Series (ILS) on the theme ‘Religions, Beliefs and Human Rights: A Faith for Rights Approach’. It was attended by more than 80 participants from around the world. Most of them are Human Rights activists, peacebuilders, conflict workers, and those who are interested in the roles of religion towards human rights, conflict, and peace.
