On January 25, 2024, the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University organized a training on the topic “Training course on Ethical Research for Human Rights.”
The training was facilitated by Dr. Michael George Hayes, Lecturer IHRP and Academic Programme Director of APMA-Global Campus, Dr. Fahmina Karim, Project-Lead Children Rights Programme Global Campus-Rights Livelihood (GC-RLF), and Dr. Mark Kavenagh, Director of Evident at room 118, the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. Students from Masters and PhD levels attended the training.
This workshop details the principal ethical issues for undertaking thesis research at IHRP. The seminar covers the main concerns of ethical research, the politics of research, and rights-based.
